What Customers Say about the Garmin Vivofit 2 Activity Tracker:

Garmin Vivofit 2 Activity Tracker User 1 Garmin Vivofit 2 Activity Tracker includes all the best features of the Garmin Vivofit Fitness Band while improving the design and adding much needed improvements“I own the original Vivofit, the Vivosmart, and have owned the Vivofit 2 for about a week. I love it. It is an improvement over the original vivofit in every way. It is everything that was great about the vivofit but with the backlight, timed activities, the audible idle alert, and the band lock. I would like to be able to customize the following: 1) adjust alert volume. Usually is loud enough but I wouldn’t mind the option to make it slightly louder if in noisy areas, 2) just like the vivosmart, idle alerts only occur at 1 hour and 2 hours. Would like the option of alerting at each 15 mine interval after hour 1 in case I miss it or forget about at the 1 hour or 2 hour.

For reference:

I loved the vivofit but would often miss the idle indicator when I forgot to look at the screen.

I absolutely hated the vivosmart, wasted a lot of money on it. Notifications were pointless because you couldn’t clear them without your phone, defeating the purpose. Walking away from your phone caused it to vibrate which drove me insane, and I hated having to use the special usb data/charging cable. I especially hated having to double tap to turn the screen on especially when on the elliptical, etc. It often would take multiple taps to turn the screen on, and the auto on screen function didn’t work well.

I also really recommend the heart rate monitor.” – Skavovie

Garmin Vivofit 2 Activity Tracker User 2 Garmin Vivofit 2 Activity Tracker includes all the best features of the Garmin Vivofit Fitness Band while improving the design and adding much needed improvements“Only had it on my wrist for a day at this point, but I’m impressed. It’s very light, can hardly feel it on my wrist.

I’m migrating from an UP 24, and it is much more comfortable and gets caught on things less.

Very excited about not having to charge this thing all the time.

The Android app works pretty well and doesn’t kill my phone battery like the UP band app does. The interface is a bit weird and takes some getting used to, but it seems ok. The iPhone version seems to have worse ratings, so if you’re on iPhone, maybe take a look at that.

One other comment about the top review: it does have a backlight, you just need to hold down the button for a half second.

Speaking of the button, if you have trouble finding it at first (like I did), it’s the ridge next to the screen.” – @mfkp “@mfkp”

“I bought the Vivofit 2 to replace the Fitbit Charge HR, which I returned after one week. I didn’t like the Charge HR because (1) you have to push a button to see the time, (2) you can’t wear it in the shower, and (3) I found the HR measurement to be very inaccurate during strenuous activity (monitoring my HR is why I wanted a tracker to begin with).

So far, I’m very pleased with the Vivofit 2. Set-up went smoothly and the HR monitor (I bought the premium strap) seems accurate. I highly recommend this tracker to my fellow fitness enthusiasts” – Dan
